Peer Review is ACTIVE. It needs to be completed by Midnight March 20th!



Don't forget to get your Labs Need Form signed off by Isaiah.

Robot-Kit Turn In - Part 2

Hello Everyone,

There is still a few groups who have not turned in their robot kits to us.

We will be open from 5:30PM ~ 7:00PM on Tuesday of this week for it.

We expect to get back:
  • Black Base Plate
  • Electronics (Arduino stack, Power Supply, etc.)
  • Tools (Cutters, Soldering Iron, DMM, etc.)
  • Expensive Stuff (Motors, etc.)
So in general, the more expensive stuff needs to be returned.

Team 12 to 22 meeting location correction

Correction on the location for team 12 through 22 meetings. They will be in EBUII 479.

Turn in Graded Robot PowerPoints with Comments

We will use the graded powerpoint slides during the grading process of your robot reports. It is a required part of the assignment. If your team has not turned them in, slide them under EBU2-280 by Tuesday evening March 6th.

Hello Everyone,

To really conclude the robot portion of this quarter's MAE156A, it's time to do Robot Kit Turn ins!

We will be open from 5:00PM ~ 7:00PM on Wednesday ~ Friday of this week for it.

We expect to get back:
  • Black Base Plate
  • Electronics (Arduino stack, Power Supply, etc.)

  • Each team should sign up for a meeting time with the instructor during week 9 and 10 (there will be no lectures).
    • Signup times are posted on the Lasercamm room door.
    • Teams 1-11, Tu & Th 10:30am-noon and 3:30pm-5:00pm - Meet with Dr. Delson in EBU2-310 
    • Teams 12-22, Tu 3:10pm-5:10pm, Th 3:30pm-5:10pm - Meet with Dr. Tustaniwskyj in EBU2-270
    • SPOTS ARE FILLING UP FAST
  • Prepare for the Problem Definition Meeting with the Instructor

Late Robot Contest Times

For the teams who have not recorded times, late times will be recorded Sunday, 2/26, from 4PM~6PM.  This is the absolute last time where you can come record a time.

Robot Contest, Presentations, and Reports - SEE UPDATED PRESENTATION SCHEDULE

Robot Contest: Thursday 2/23, 3:30pm-4:50pm in the Design Studio
  • Teams can demo their robot to a TA anytime during week 7, but still need to show up during the robot contest to show their robot to the instructors.
  • At 4:15pm we will announce the sponsored project teams, and all students need to be present at that time.
Robot Oral Presentations (SEE UPDATED PRESENTATION SCHEDULE) will be held during week 8. Review post carefully. 
  • Prepare a 8 minute (10 minutes for 5 member teams) presentation

Robot Reports are due Friday March 2, by 8pm in Design Studio Bin. One report per team.
